The Peace Hut Podcasts
These first two Peace Hut Podcasts were made during the third Covid 19 Pandemic Lock Down, by two Fine Artists, Sarah Jones and Juliet Mootz; both studying in isolation and without access to their College/University studio’s and equipment. The project charts their search for outdoor studio sites and their experiences collaborating to create a podcast. Sharing skills, stories and creative processes, during the course of a series of walks and a very cold week in the field. The aim of the podcast is to share the artists experiences in an accessible way, discussing site and practice and reflection. The recordings were made outdoors on site using a tascam DR-40 audio recorder and two lavalier mics, capturing the natural sounds, to help immerse the audience within the environment. Sarah Jones edited the podcast recordings, sifting through hours of conversations to reflect the nature of the project by including all colours and stages of the artistic journey and Juliet Mootz has compiled the zine from their shared images, to support the project.
